The creative process is, for me, an opportunity to find understanding with myself.

In a personal conversation on the safe surface of paper, I feel that I can say anything— to reach out to myself and turn a gentle, attentive gaze inward.

In my work, the Campbellian motif of the hero’s journey serves as an organizing structure. By treating my paintings as fragments of a fairy tale, I can roughly determine where I might currently be within the monomyth.

„Rozstaje”/"Crossroads" My works are a tale of transformation. About the pupal stage, he point where the Old is no more, and the New is yet to be born.
Punkcie, w którym Starego już nie ma, a Nowe jeszcze się nie narodziło.
It's about anticipation and preparations, nervously and eagerly waiting.
The time has come to stitch oneself anew from freshly cut pieces and embark on a journey charted by the comet.
To survey the landscape that has ceased to be familiar. Ruins and rubble must be mourned and cleared away. Wild animals need to be named and attempted to be tamed. New gardens and safe harbors must be established, so that the New can settle in and thrive.
Rozejrzeć się po krajobrazie, który przestał być znajomy. Uprzątnąć zgliszcza i ruiny. Nadać imiona dzikim zwierzętom i spróbować je oswoić. Założyć ogrody i bezpieczne przystanie, tak by Nowe mogło zadomowić się
i wzrastać.
The exhibition took place at Beta16 Gallery in Warsaw.
